2022 Excellent Graduation Works Show was launched on May 28th in Fujian Strait Folk Art Museum. The exhibits, such as ceramic tea set with Beijing-opera elements, ceramic vases with taichi diagram elements and a blueprint of ecological park based on a waste landfill site, reflected great artistic imagination and creativity and thus won unanimous praises of guests from the cultural industry.  

Attending the opening ceremony were Huangming, Director of Bingxin Literature Museum, Lin Bin, President and Chief Editor of Strait Literature and Art Press, Fang Yishan, Vice President of Fujian Art Museum, heads of Concord University College and also teachers and students from Department of Cultural Industry. President Zhang Huarong made an opening speech and unveiled the exhibits together with honored guests.

Put on display were more than a hundred excellent works including ceramics, lacquer works, furniture design, environment design, illustrations, picture books, cartoons and so on. These works were provided by graduates of three majors —— animation, product design and environment design.

In Product-design Sector, elegant ceramic works integrate traditional cultural elements and modern means of expression; unique lacquer works create magical visual effects with the combination of modern illustration design and traditional lacquer painting skill; furniture works are practically and aesthetically applaudable, a mix of traditional Chinese culture and modern innovation in daily-life experience.

In Illustration and Picture Books Sector, enthusiasm and imagination blend in the works. Wu Chunming, Dean of DCI recognized these works as they were rich in both traditional cultural elements and modern ideas.

According to President Zhang Huarong, in recent years, Concord University College are committed to cultivating applied talents in cultural industry and will continue to explore undergraduate training mode that combines moral and aesthetic education.
