CUC students won 15 prizes in a provincial scientific and technological innovation competition for university students
6 11, 2021Students of CUC won 15 prizes in the 15th Challenge Cup “University Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition of Fujian Province, a provincial scientific and technological innovation competition for university students. Seven works from CUC won the second prizes, another seven won the bronze prizes while one got a third award for Special Red Activities. The event was co-organized by Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, Fujian Provincial Department of Education, Fujian Science and Technology Association, Fujian Academy of Social Sciences and Fujian Student Federation.
In this year, a total of 1,337 works from 55 colleges and universities, covering dozens of discipline fields as such machinery and control, information technology and mathematics, were registered for competition. In the final, 13 works were awarded the Grand Prize, 33 the First Prize, 99 the Second Prize and 256 the Third Prize. Besides, 10 institutes earned the Outstanding Organization Awards. This year, the organizer also provided a series of affiliated events including Special Activity for Red Education, Exchange and Counselling Meetings and A Training Camp for Competitors.
In recent years, Concord University College has kept making new breakthrough in the Challenge Cup competitions thanks to the supportive measures of the administration and the efforts of students and teachers. Students have been encouraged to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship as CUC provides an effective incentive mechanism and innovative credit points for them.
