On the morning of December 30th, a ceremony was held to mark the official opening of the track-and-field ground of Concord University College Fujian Normal University. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Chen Zhiyi, Director of the Management Committee of Fuzhou University Town, Mr. Lin Songwang, Vice Director of the Management Committee of Fuzhou High & New Technology Industrial Development Zone, Mr. Li Baoying, Mr. Wang Changping and Mr. Zhen Jiajiang, heads of Fujian Normal University as well as officials from Education Bureau of Minhou County and administrators from relevant sectors of FNU. The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Zhang Huarong, President of Concord University College while other members of CUC administration and some three hundred teacher and student representatives attended the opening ceremony.

Mr. Chen Zhiyi, Mr. Lin Songwang, Mr. Li Baoying and Mr. Wang Changping unveiled the name plate for the ground and Mr. Zhen Jiajiang, Vice President of FNU delivered a speech on behalf of the university. He pointed out that, the layout of Fujian University Town is a major strategic project planned, deployed and promoted by President Xi Jinping when he was Governor of Fujian Province. After the complement of land acquisition, Fujian Normal University moved quickly to the planning and construction of CUC track-and-field ground and affiliated kindergarten, in response to the infrastructure promotion plan of Fujian Provincial Government. The completion and opening of the ground represent the integrated construction of FNU and university-town and also reflects the successful collaboration between university and local government. Mr. Zhen also pledged that the university will actively participate in the strategic plan of Fuzhou City Government and promote the co-building and sharing of high-quality resources so as to contribute to the construction of a first-class university town in China.

The track-and-field ground of CUC FNU has a land-area of 28,436 square meters and a floorage of 1,051.1 square meters, with standard 400m plastic running track and football pitch and outdoor sports and fitness facilities. As a supplementary part of campus sports infrastructure, the ground is a perfect fitness venue for the faculty, students and nearby residents.
