CUC held the first off-line on-campus job fair in 2020 with nearly 10,000 positions

11 03, 2020

From October 30th to 31st, FJNUCUC held a recruitment fair for 2021 graduate students on the outdoor basketball court where a total of 9228 job opportunities were provided by 213 organizations, the first off-line on-campus job fair held in CUC since the normalization of COVID-19 prevention and control measures were implemented. Wearing masks did not reduce students' passion or impact their performances: actually, after reading e-mail résumés and conducting preliminary interviews, many employers regarded CUC graduates to be ideal employees as they were quite proficient and communicative, with independent understandings of their future careers. On the morning of October 30th, CUC leaders Mr. Zhang Huarong, Mr. Ying Guiyong and Mr. Chen Xiaobin inspected the job fair to evaluate the employment market and trends.

In order to carry out all-round pandemic prevention and control measures, CUC adopted paperless procedures to organize recruitment fair for the first time. With the help of Wechat employment platform 'Cloud Employment', CUC could register and verify employers, arrange booths for them and disclose information; employers could post recruiting advertisements and students could send their résumé for application. What's more, the applet automatically matches relevant job vacancies with student applicants so that employers and graduates can get informed before the job fair. Statistics show that on-line résumé dispatch service has reached a peak of 14564 visits during the two-day fair.

Currently Concord University College is promoting employment work for 2021 graduates in two aspects: on the one hand, tailored online and off-line job fairs are arranged; on the other hand, verified consultation services are provided for students on career evaluation, résumé design, interview and group-discussion skills, outfit advice and psychological health.
