Concord University College welcomed freshmen
9 20, 2020On September 20th, CUC started registration of more than 3200 freshmen from 16 provincial administrative regions. Arriving at the beautiful campus, this new cohort of students opened a new page of life, full of longing for a wonderful college life.
Streamlined arrangement is provided to students, allowing them to enter the campus after identity check, temperature testing and health code presentation. On campus, shuttle buses helped them get to the accommodation buildings where students could get registered with simplified procedures.
Beside the regular arrangements, the seven departments of CUC provided creative, eye-catching designs for the new comers. Department of International Education set up display racks to show the features of training programs and campus culture; Department of Management showed their mascot, school badge and slogan with 3D devices; Department of International Business decorated the registration site with the image of mascot Qiebao; Department of Foreign Languages had a wall of dormitory building painted with their slogan; Department of Cultural Industry held an exhibition of traditional Chinese designs, a paper-cutting show and calligraphic writing; Department of Information and Technology displayed various technological works and competition achievements.
In and out of the campus, a total of 3000 teacher and student volunteers were providing various services for the new comers, from transportation guidance and luggage carriage to health care and consultation. Students could get to their dormitories easily and a fast track was opened for those who needed student loans. CUC administrative leaders inspected the registration sites and expressed their welcome and encouragement for the freshmen; the leaders also extended their regards and gratitude to the volunteers.
